Rocio, James & Juan

Photographing this family was fun! For one thing, Rocio was my first Latin American client (she's Colombian) and hearing her speak Spanish was a treat. I just love listening to someone speak Spanish, it just sounds lively :)

Juan was a bundle of energy at the park and James did his best to keep up with him. I don't think mummy and daddy knew what a workout a portraiture session could be eh ;)

We also had Juan's grandparents join in on the fun of course. Rocio's mum even braved the humidity and tagged along to the Lake Gardens. What a sport :)

Waldorf and friends

These 3 friends are: Waldorf Salad, Seafood Wantan & Fish Fingers.

The Waldorf salad is my wife's take on it since the original version only uses walnuts. My wife being my wife, she used all kinds of nuts instead :)

My wife is crazy about spring rolls and wantan. She gets all excited just imagining the crispiness she'll experience when bites into one. (the same way i got excited when i got my D3)

Saturday!

If you go back in time in blog, you would see entries where i introduced my cats (they were kittens then) Mas Cann, Thursday & Friday.

Well, we now have a new member to the family and his name is Saturday! :)

We found him on.... no wait, he found us on a Saturday afternoon! Yes that's right, we came home from one day and as i was opening the gate he appeared from underneath my car. I put him across the street thinking that he was my neighbour's new cat, but he just kept walking back to me. He followed me in and just plonked himself on the floor and slept!

When the other cats hissed at him he just stared at them and didn't budge at all. I knew then that he is a pacifist.

Saturday is my wife's favourite cat as he is so loving and calm. It's like he's mastered the art of inner calmness. When you lift him up at chest level, he'll hug your neck and purr.

I only wish he'd learn to stop jumping up on my laptop while i'm doing my work heheh :P

Its been a while since i've posted some of my wife's dishes here. So what better than to have three at once :)

The first dish is Lebanese bread with Baba Ghanoush. For dinner we had Vegetarian Spaghetti topped up with Mango Lassi.
