Hi everyone,
Firefly Airlines recently received their new ATR 72-500 aircraft. I had the honour of photographing the arrival ceremony for the new aircraft. Assisting me that day was my good friend and superb photographer, Ariff Thani.
Malaysia's Transport Minister, YB Datuk Ong Tee Keat officiated the ceremony which was held at Subang Airport. Also present at the ceremony were Eddy Leong, Dato' Sri Idris Jala & Tengku Dato' Azmil Zahruddin.
What made the whole experience quite amazing was the fact that the plane was flown in & landed for the very first time on Malaysian soil that afternoon during the ceremony. There were loud cheers by Firefly staff who have worked very hard over the past several months in preparation for that afternoon.
The Fabulous Cats performed some of their new songs, complete with a live DJ who worked his turntables.
The ATR 72-500 is an elegant plane in my opinion. The modern turboprop design, fuel efficiency and comfortable interior has made the plane a big success around the world for regional travel.
Enjoy the photos :)

Zureen & Gerhard - Melbourne, Australia
I love Melbourne, it's a city of the arts that's sure to inspire any photographer. I will definitely be back one day, preferably in Spring when the flowers are out and its so much warmer :)
Zureen & Gerhard's session was held at the park where they got married. A funny thing about this session was Zureen's prior warning to me that Gerhard wasn't much into 'couples' photography. I started the session thinking I would have to work hard at making him relaxed, but to my surprise he was totally natural in front of the camera! Zureen seemed surprised as well :)
We had lots of fun and managed to wrap up just in time before it got really windy & cloudy.
Thanks so much to both of you for hosting me during my stay in Melbourne. Enjoy the photos and see you in Spring one day :)

Shane & Avleen - Canberra, Australia
Hi everyone,
I'm currently in beautiful Australia and its been a life changing trip already. I've met so many nice people and talented photographers in just under 2 weeks here.
On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Shane & Avleen in Canberra. These two have been married for several years now and wanted some portraits, since they have a new house that needs some frames on the wall :)
Easy going, full of laughter and willingness to have fun in very cold & rainy weather...what more could I ask for in a couple? Not many people would have looked past the weather, but you two did and we got some amazing portraits because of that.
Assisting me that day were Iris and Rina from PRfect Occasions. You two crack me up, I wish I could have you as assistants all the time :)
If anyone would like to book a session in Canberra or Sydney, please contact Iris or Rina via the details in their website. I'll be in Canberra until Friday, 5th September and Sydney from the 7th - 13th September.
Shane & Avleen, I hope you like the images as much as I do, and thanks again for the fun time.
