Amee Halim & Family

It's funny how you can suddenly meet someone again from your distant past.

When I first saw Amee on the day her family portrait shoot was scheduled, I knew I had seen her somewhere before. After a few minutes of conversation she asked me if i was from TTDI and went to primary school there, which I did. Turns out we where schoolmates back then :) Amee didn't go to the same high school as myself, so we've not met in at least 15 years.

She's now married to Illiya and is a mom to a very cute and active son, Rykal. During the session he moved around so much and rather quickly too, making the individual portraits I managed to snap of him that more precious.

After the fun session at the pool area, we headed up for some relaxed shots of everyone in their Raya clothes.

Thanks Amee for having me over, your family is a fun bunch to be around with and its great to meet you again after all these years.

Enjoy!

Lauren & Michael - Sydney, Australia

Hi everyone,

As you know already from the post above, I'll be heading back to Australia in February 2009 for some beautiful portraiture sessions. In light of this I though it would be nice to highlight once again a session from the recently concluded Australia 2008 Sessions. Hope you enjoy viewing them once again :)

-----------

I just wrapped up a wonderful portraiture session in Sydney recently. The couple, Lauren & Michael were fun, energetic and most important of all.... in love with each other! The chemistry between them was lovely.

We spent the afternoon at The Rocks near the Sydney Opera House. Lauren & Michael chose the location and I couldn't have pick a better spot. The textures, colours and liveliness of the place really made the session feel so relaxed.

Lauren & Michael, thanks for the great time and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

Enjoy the photos :)

Anoushka's 4th Birthday Party

In 2007, I photographed Anoushka's 3rd birthday party, and here I was a year later at the Bukit Kiara Club among many familiar faces - mommies, daddies & hyper kids :)

This was my first outdoor birthday shoot back in Malaysia after my 3 weeks in end of winter Australia. The humidity + photographing kids = major calorie burning workout.

The theme of the party was Mermaid Island, and you could see the girls were really into it. The boys on the other hand, preferred to have spiders and tiger stripes painted on their hands and faces :)

Thanks Dea for having me over again, and also to Yee Send for your wonderful work in organizing the party.

Happy Birthday Anoushka!

Here is a lesson to be learned...always organize the group photo at the beginning of the party, not at the end when they're tired, sweaty and you're keeping them from the ice cream man. Otherwise this is what you get...
